Nice detail with amber stem. Case has Genuine Meerschaum Warranted logo inside. Measures 7.5'' l x 3.25'' h; 3) Cased Meerschaum bowl - could be Atlas?. Measures 2.5'' x 2.5''; 4) Great detail on this hooded man with an intricately carved beard. case is marked Kaldenberg & Son Prize Exhibitors at the Paris Exposition 1867. Pipe measures 10.5'' long and bowl is 4.5'' h.End of bowl has silver color metal connector to a spiral ribbed amber piece which is connected to a very dark amber mouthpiece; 5) Capped man Meerschaum with amber stem measures 65'' l x 2.25'' h at bowl. Sold with case; 6) Large Briarwood bowl with bearded man's head. 5'' h including stem insert. This collection is from a storage unit - the original owner is unknown. Letters in the unit to and from Dr. Burton Gottfried suggest that some or all of these items may be from his prestigious collection.
CONDITION: 1) Pipe and case show normal wear; 2) Pipe shows normal wear and case is noticeably worn; 3) Bowl needs cleaning and case is worn; 4) Amber stem has a loose fit to the metal connector. Pipe has normal use and case is in fair/good condition; 5) Case has no hinges. Pipe has normal wear; 6) Bowl shows minimal use.
