Comprises mortgages, release of message, and release of equity involving John Brewster of Burton Court (Herefordshire, England) including his signature. Largest is 2 sheets Approx. 33.5'' w x 29.25'' h.; 3) 8 18th & 19th-Century legal documents from 3 generations of Rogers family owners of Penrose estate. Comprises leases from 1777-1882. Handwritten with signatures, red wax seals, and embossed tax stamps. One document dated 1777 is a lease agreement concerning John Rogers (1750-1832), British lawyer & politician. A second dated 1845 is a lease by Rev. John Rogers (1778-1856). Remaining documents concern John Jope Rogers (1816-1880), author & MP, of which 4 are signed by Rogers. Avg. size is approx. 28.5'' w x 24.25'' h.; 4) 5 17th-Century vellum documents circa 1630-1664, handwritten in ink. Includes three documents with gutter tabs, two of which have red wax seals. One document contains the name Orlando Bridgeman (1606-1674), an English lawyer and politician.
