Burchards may not be held liable for failure to execute absentee or phone bid requests. In the event of a tie bid between an absentee bidder & a bidder in house, the bid will be awarded to the in house bid.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACING AN ABSENTEE OR PHONE BID SHIPPING INFO
To place an ABSENTEE or PHONE BID, you must complete the ABSENTEE AND PHONE BIDDING APPLICATION attached. Use the print command in the file menu of your web browser and Print The Form along with these instructions. A valid application must contain a credit card # (even if you are not going to pay for your purchases with a credit card) and a signature affixed. Your credit card guarantees the goodwill of the bidding. In the event that you are not the winning bidder, your credit card number will be destroyed. A 10% Cash Deposit is also acceptable in lieu of a credit card. All absentee/phone bidders MUST fax a SIGNED copy of the absentee/phone bid application.
Please be very careful when completing the Lot# and Absentee Bid Amount. Many times numbers can be confused and misread, therefore, it is imperative that you review the bid with a BURCHARD staff member to assure accuracy. The complete description of the Item/Lot which is provided within the catalog is also very helpful. You will not receive a bidder card - your number will be assigned by the staff and held in house .
Through this action, one gives authorization to the AUCTIONEER to bid on the assigned individual's behalf up to the maximum limit of their bid. The AUCTIONEER will make every attempt to purchase those authorized items at the lowest possible price below the WRITTEN maximum bid.
PHONE BIDDERS: You will be called while the Auctioneer is selling the item prior to your item of interest. Please confirm lot number and approximate time of sale and make sure a contact number is properly included in your application. COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MAY BE FAXED (727) 821-1814 24 hrs. Only completed applications will be processed .
TERMS: Cash; Travelers Checks; Personal Checks for merchandise up to $1,000.00 drawn upon local banks. Purchases exceeding $1,000.00 and/or out of town purchaser's require a bank letter of credit, or proper approval, prior to the sale. Checks without bank letter will require that merchandise be held until checks clear or immediately negotiable funds have been made available. Also accepting, Visa, MasterCard & American Express. Due to our LOW consignment rates, a 15% buyer's premium will be in effect; however, a 3% DISCOUNT will be offered for expedient (within 2 business days) CASH or CHECK payments. If your winning bid amount is $100.00, the final purchase amount will be $115.00 plus any applicable sales tax. Please adjust you bidding to accommodate the Buyer Premium within your auction budget. Merchandise MUST be paid for day of sale. ONLY exception: "Out of Town Bidders" - must arrange that payment be made via overnight money order, cashiers check, or bank transfer and must be guaranteed by valid credit card prior to the sale. By signing the attached bid form, you are specifically authorizing Burchard Galleries to charge your account in the amount of your bid, plus 13% Buyer's Premium together with Florida Sales Tax, if applicable, should payment not be received by Burchard Galleries pursuant to the terms hereof in order to guarantee payment. Not withstanding, final payment must arrive in a form of payment as designated above. Auctioneer reserves the right to negate any sale which does not comply with these terms. Although we strive for perfection, Auctioneers may not be held liable for failure to execute absentee or phone bid requests.
In the event that you are a "winning bidder", payment is expected to arrive in our office within the next 2 business days. Methods of payment are set forth above. Other Any other method of payment must be approved prior to the auction. Any variance from these procedures may result in the loss of absentee or phone bidding privileges. Although we require pick up of merchandise to be prompt, next day pick up is not necessary, next day payment is necessary. Shipping arrangements (if necessary) may be made as soon as payment is received.
