Snow Hill is a relatively unknown, and grossly underappreciated artist of local roots. He studied and exhibited in Paris, and was a member of the WPA, creating many murals and paintings, some which still hang today. The most notable was a mural which depicted the harsh treatment of blacks, hung in a local St. Petersburg building until being torn down by an angry patron, causing a local stir.
