LATE 19TH EARLY 20TH C O/C IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE: Depicts female sheep herder and flock, 17'' x 12'', no visible signature, probably American, inscribed in stretcher verso L Smith but probably no bearing on artist name, encased in superior Newcomb-Macklin style nouveau period molding with some wear to edges and several nicks but in overall good condition, overall 23 1/4'' x 18 1/4''. Condition - Needs cleaning, several scraps in upper right corner, lower left corner pin hole puncture.
