SHARPE FULL STOCK PERCUSSION RIFLE: Circa 1820's, in as found condition. Rifle was found in a well at the Toll House on Street Road in Bucks County Pennsylvania and from the family that owned the house. Ornate engraved brass hardware, trigger guard, butt plate depicting colonial hunt scenes. We believe the hardware is earlier than the gun (circa 1790's) and may have been added many years ago. Percussion conversion lock marked ''SHARPE''. Octagon and round barrel. Please note overall poor condition. Barrel measures 39 1/4'', overall 54 1/2''.
