1880'S GERMAN WEYERSBERG KIRSHBAUM SWORD: Circa 1880's - 1900's, marked Weyesberg Kirshbaum & Co Soilingen on ricasso, stylized crown on opposite side. Brass hilt with sharkskin grip, note areas of wear on grip, loose area of twist wire. Still retains original leather washer. Straight blade show age staining, no rust, measures 28 3/8'' long. Leather scabbard with brass mounts intact. Note wear and bend line. Sword was reputedly taken from a Austro-Hungarian gunboat in Italy during WWI by Seaman Warren G. Addison. Overall length 36''.
