ANTIQUE PERSIAN SAROUK HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4'5'' x 6'8'': This traditional design of a Sarouk consists of a red field covered with sprays of many types of flowers in shades of blue, beige white, and a little yellow. The main border has a dark blue ground covered with alternating sprays of flowers and palmettes linked by vines. The pile on this rug is very low and the ends need overcasting to stop erosion of the rug, but it is still an attractive rug.
