
MID 19TH CENTURY INLAID TRAVEL BOX: Mother of pearl inlay, cloth and paper lined interior with compartmented shelf. Box contains family papers and assortment of items dating back to 1862 including a letter describing how the box was purchased in 1840 after the family had been burned out. Also includes 19th English sterling case pocket watch and other trinkets. 6'' x 11'' x 8''.
CONDITION: Note minor inlay loss, bubble to veneer, scratches, missing trim, tears to interior fabric and paper. Split to base.
