MODERN PAKISTANI HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5' 10'' x 8': This vegetable dyed rug looks like the high quality rugs that are also being produced in Turkey. The open ivory field is surrounded by a broken border consisting of a red ground that undulates around the center of the rug. Vases of flowers and palmettes with long stem flowers break up the border in the corners and centers of the border. The outer ivory border and the narrow red band at the edge complete the picture. This is an unusual design rug that would be very striking in many settings. Condition is good.
