A novelette purporting to relate the affair of Louis XIV and his mistress, Louise de La Valliere, (1644-1710). This title published without indicating a place or date, was according to Brunet, printed in Holland about 1667. Pages 77-96 of the book include the title ''Historie de l'amour feinte du roy pour madame.'' Both pieces are ascribed to Roger de Rabutin, Comte de Bussy, and published with his ''Historie Amoureuse de Gaules''.
