CIRCA 1930'S NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO HAND WOVEN WOOL RUG, 34 1/2'' x 48 3/4'': This Navajo rug has an interesting central design of two attached octagonal medallions in colors of red and brown with a black latch-hook central motif. The points of the medallions have triangles that look like small sails going in every direction of the rug. There are also four motifs found in the four corners of the field, probably symbolizing the four parts of the Navajo nation. The rug has three straight line borders in colors of red, white, and black to frame the field.
CONDITION: This rug has a small hole in one of the central medallions and some light soiling, wear, and stains.
