CIRCA 1930'S NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO HAND WOVEN WOOL RUG, 31 1/4'' x 57'': This interesting Navajo has the neutral color palette that is found in rugs woven in the Two Grey Hills region. The grey field has two joined block stepped diamond medallions with white grounds. Each has a central stepped block design in black and white. The medallions also have a black lattice / latch hook design around their edges. This motif makes the medallions stand out. In between the two diamond medallions are Vee shaped designs in white. The borders of the rug have a stepped design in black, white and a faded pale yellow/beige. All in all, an attractive rug.
CONDITION: There is some soiling and light stains that show at the edges of the field.
