
2 PIECE TIBETAN GAU AND SEATED BUDDHIST FIGURE: 1) Tibetan Gau or traveling shrine box in mihrab form and having its own personal clay deity (loose). Copper and repousse metal. In the home, the Gau was kept at the altar, and worn on a belt when traveling. 4.75'' tall x 3.5'' x 1.5''; 2) Buddhist seated Figure, 4'' tall. Uncertain date, possibly 19th - Early 20th Century.
CONDITION: 1) Gau deity is loose and missing small piece upper left.
