SEMI-ANTIQUE TURKISH HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 4' x 6': This rug has a traditional Bergama design with non-traditional colors. There are three eight sided medallions with latch hook borders. Look for small birds in the medallions. Also of interest are the four paisleys on the sides of the field and the motifs that look like seahorses. The main border has a serrated leaf and wine glass border that is found on rugs from Turkey, The Caucasus, and northern Iran. This is an interesting, good looking rug.
CONDITION: One side's edge need repair, but otherwise good.
