A quick search reveals 23 Civil War soldiers with that first initial and last name, more research will be required. 4'' barrel, serial number 14,528, indicating one of the first appearance of the spring plate mounted on the recoil shield. Partial cylinder scene, action nice and tight. Marked with 1859 patent on cylinder, ''Manhattan Firearms Co. Newark NJ'' on barrel. 50-60% blue and patina remains, 95% varnish on walnut grips. Overall 9''.
