APPROX. 20 TO 45 YR OLD TURKISH FLAT WEAVE WOOL RUG, 8' 2'' x 9' 8'': This soft colored flat weave rug was woven using a variety of techniques including a soumak stitch and weft wrapping. The result is an attractive well composed design. The field has a pale pinkish beige ground with an orderly balanced placement of palmettes and flowers linked with vines. The edges of the field have areas of different motifs that look like they have continued on from the designs and colors of the borders of the rug giving a ''broken borders'' effect that adds to the overall look of the rug. Condition is good.
