Tolkas, 1959 in one of her very expensive hats, framed under glass, as well as various photographs of Alice B. Toklas, Gertrude Stein, & Friends w/negatives; 3) Tea with Alice, a booklet (New York, Christmas, 1978, copyright by Robert A. Wilson, Stein's official bibliographer and owner of the famous Phoenix bookshop in the West Village), includes a 8 x 10, black & white photograph of Toklas, taken during his visit with her in Paris in 1965. The paper-back booklet is 5 x 8, 9 pages, it was printed as an edition of 250 copies as a holiday greeting, ''none is for sale''; 4) A printed invitation, in French handwritten name Monsieur J. Arnold Weissberger, to attend an homage to Gertrude Stein ''en presence de Miss Alice B. Toklas'', on verso in pencil ''written by Alice B. Toklas''; 5) The Last Will and Testament of Gertrude Stein, 1 of the 150 copies issued on February 3, 1974, gratis (as a centennial tribute to Stein) by Frank Hallman, New York. Copy from Robert A. Wilson, Stein's official bibliographer; 6) Programme for ''In Savoy or Yes is for Yes'', Fortyeight Theatre, NYC production of the play, with reproduction of a drawing of Stein by Francis Rose, ''Programme note written by Gertrude Stein for the Pasadena production of ''Yes is for a Very Young Man''; 7) A Primer for the Gradual Understanding of Gertrude Stein, printed November 1971 in Santa Barbara for the Black Sparrow Press by Noel Young, edition limited to 500 hardcover copies; 8) Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale Bound facsimiles of the five type scripts of ''In Savoy/or/''Yes is for Yes for a Very Young Man'' and an application to publish therefrom; 8) Typewritten manuscripts with handwritten notations purportedly by Stein & Toklas from the William Plumley Estate.
CONDITION: 4) Folding crease visible; 6) Paper is age toned, has a small tear at the bottom, and slight fold in lower right corner, front page; 8) Browning, spotting, handling creases and some tears on several of the pages.
