APPROX 20-30 YR OLD INDIAN WOOL RUG, 9'2'' x 12'2'': This room size rug has a modern looking design and color palette while some of the motifs have their roots in old Chinese and Celtic designs. The blue/black ground has a smaller repeating pattern that forms grid work covering the interior of the rug. Here and there are square or rectangular panels that have pale aqua blue or soft salmon pink as their predominate colors. The smaller panels have oral designs while the largest panel has a sort of eternal knot repeated in four squares. The border has a more traditional pattern of alternating palmettes, flowers and leaves with vines.
CONDITION: There is some soil, slight stains and color run.
