APPROX. 75-85 YR OLD NICHOLS CHINESE HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'8'' x 11'4'': This beautiful room size rug is a classic example of Art Deco design and coloring. The golden yellow ground is banded with a line of vibrant turquoise green all around the edge of the field. Shoots of plants sprouting from this band grow into the edges and center of the rug with brilliantly colored flowers and leaves. The wide purple ground border has even larger brightly colored leaves and flowers and adds just the right finishing touch to the design of the rug.
CONDITION: There are some white cotton knots showing in a few places but these could easily be touched up.
