OLD PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9'9'' x 13'2'': This fascinating Persian rug is literally covered with vases on the blue field and in the large ivory diamond shaped center medallion and the four ivory corners of the field. The vases are in many shapes and sizes and are in pairs that are either just opposite each other or on opposite sides of the rug. The vases have panels of varying designs with almost every one containing an inscription. A rug like this is not just a floor covering, but would be the source of conversation for years to come. Condition is good with a little bit of visible wear.
