GEORGE III MAHOGANY TALL CASE CLOCK: Large tall case clock with banded mahogany veneer. Bonnet with broken arch pediment, carved twist full column supports. Case with banded inlay, single door, matching twist column stiles, all on 4 bracket feet. Hand painted dial with moon phase, vignettes of maidens from 4 continents on corners, marked C. Rice, Chester, Roman numerals. Secondary date and seconds dials. Overall measures 92'' h. x 24'' x 9 1/2''.
CONDITION: Chips and bubbling to veneer, age split front of case, craquelure and loss of decoration on dial, missing finial, currently running however not guaranteed to continue or keep accurate time. Crank in office.
