APPROX 20-35 YR OLD CHINESE NEEDLEPOINT AUBUSSON HANDMADE WOOL RUG, 9' 9'' x 14' 3'': This tapestry rug was woven in the type of design that was found in the finest, most elegant Salons in Paris in centuries past. The ivory oval center of the rug is outlined with a gold and yellow band that is also used as a border on the edges of the rug. There are tracery patterns of leaves and vines linking sprays of realistically drawn flowers of various types. For a matching smaller rug please see the next lot.
CONDITION: There is some surface soil and stains but they are minimal.
