SEMI-ANTIQUE NAVAJO RUG, 3'6'' x 5': This rug has a good bold design consisting of a large white central medallion with red and dark brown saw tooth edging and a red and brown X in the center. On either end are suspended small stepped star motifs with matching motifs on either side. Above these outer stars are small gatherings of stripes of brown, red, and blue. All of this rests on a grey-beige, brown, and white mottled natural colored wool ground. This field is bordered by a single band of brown and a white outer border.
CONDITION: The sides and end show signs of lots of wear and tear and the white areas look a little soiled, but the body of the rug is intact.
