CARVED MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD WITH GRIFFIN SUPPORTS: A highly carved Gothic server sideboard in two sections. The lower section having an inset marble surface over side-by-side frieze drawers supported by turned & fluted columns joined by a broad base, with brackets supporting a shelf joining the back legs. The upper section boasts carved winged griffins supporting upper shelving with the carved upper backboard having a satyr mascaron in high relief flanked by scrolled foliate adornment. Surmounted by a pierced foliate scroll motif crest. Approx. 74.5'' h x 45.5'' w x 18.75'' d.
CONDITION: Wear commensurate with age and use including vertical crack in marble surface and broken crest at upper left.
