Listed in Benezit as BASHINZHAGYAN, but signs name sometimes as BACHINDJAGHIAN. Born in Georgia, died in Tbilisi. Also spelled Bashinjagyan, he is considered the patriarch of landscape painting in Armenia. CONDITION: This picture has been rolled at one point, showing vertical creases, scattered craquelure throughout, several areas of missing paint and separation, needs cleaning.
