COIN SILVER TEA SERVICE: 3 piece tea service by noted 19th century silversmiths Clark & Company of Augusta, with presentation on each piece ''Mayor Abner P. Robertson, By the City of Augusta, 1854''. Each piece with chased foliate and grape vine motif, hinged lid with finial. To include 1) Hot water kettle with stand & original burner, articulated handle with bone heat shields. Overall 13 3/4'' h. x 10 1/2'' x 8 1/2''. 2) Coffee pot, 9 3/4'' h. x 11 3/4'' x 6 1/4''. 3) Tea pot, 9'' h. x 11 1/2'' x 6 1/4''. 4) Additional stand for tea and coffee pots with original burner, 4'' h. x 6 1/2''. Sold with 2 footed trays with same presentation, engraved berry design, unmarked as to maker. 1 1/4'' x 12 1/4'' x 9 3/8''. Approx. 168.9 troy oz.
CONDITION: One tray with bend at one foot. Signs of wear and use.

CONDITION: Scratches, spotting, signs of use.

1103 Click for larger picture APPROX. 75-85 YR OLD NICHOLS CHINESE HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 8'8'' x 11'4'': This beautiful room size rug is a classic example of Art Deco design and coloring. The golden yellow ground is banded with a line of vibrant turquoise green all around the edge of the field. Shoots of plants sprouting from this band grow into the edges and center of the rug with brilliantly colored flowers and leaves. The wide purple ground border has even larger brightly colored leaves and flowers and adds just the right finishing touch to the design of the rug.
CONDITION: There are some white cotton knots showing in a few places but these could easily be touched up.

1129 Click for larger picture SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN SAROUK HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 9' x 12' 4'': This Sarouk has the traditional colors and design motifs found in rugs woven in the area but is unusual in that the main ground of the field of the rug is not red, but white. The red found in the main border ground is what we usually see. In this instance, the contrast does a nice job of framing the field that is covered with sprays of flowers done in colors of red, pink, blues, white, and black. Sarouks are hardy and attractive rugs that can be used for generations in many settings in your home.
CONDITION: This rug needs a good cleaning and spotting which will improve its overall appearance.

1139 Click for larger picture ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAMADAN HAND KNOTTED ROOM-SIZE RUG, 8' x 11' 6'': This attractive rug has a distinctly archaic look about it with its design motifs of flowers, leaves, and palmettes that are drawn in a style that borders between the geometric of tribal rugs and the curvilinear of city rugs. The limited palette of colors used also adds to the charm of this rug. The unusual use of a white ground makes this rug even more appealing.
CONDITION: There is a small hole in the field, some loss at one corner, and overall sun fade and uniform low pile. Plus some stains that aren't too bad.
