1051 Click for larger picture A FINE MAHOGANY GEORGIAN SECRETARY BOOKCASE: 18th century secretary, tope with stepped pediment, applied decoration, 2 fretwork glass doors with applied rosettes at corners. 3 adjustable wood shelves, linen backing. Top drawer opens to reveal secretary with push button fall front, drawers, mirrored central door, pigeon holes with pierced carved valences. 3 graduating full length drawers, bracket feet. Overall measures 90 1/2'' h. x 49 1/2'' x 24 1/2''.
CONDITION: Age splits, chip to veneer on top, several areas of bubbling, repair to right front foot.

OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 10' x 13'4'': This lovely, lively rug has a bright red field with a round central medallion that looks like a stained glass ''rose'' window from a cathedral. The ivory colored corners of the field flank vases at each end. The rest of the field is covered with well-drawn flowers, leaves, and vines. The multiple guard borders and the blue ground main border complete the design of the rug.
CONDITION: This rug has just been cleaned at Tinney Rug Cleaners. There are still some slight shading / stains that are visible, but it is a very pretty rug.
