1002 | MIXED METAL NEO-CLASSICAL MOTIF URN & STAND: Brass and bronze urn with gilt accents, double handles with caryatid figures at joints. Applied floral garland with medallion either side featuring cherubs on putti. Gilt metal foot on stepped marble base. Overall measures 28 1/4'' h. x 11 1/2''. Sold with a metal clad tapered stand with lion masqueron accents, paw feet, overall 33 3/4'' h. x 10 3/4'' x10 3/4''. CONDITION: Urn with uneven patina, slight lean, one medallion lifting at bottom. Stand with spotting and uneven finish, top removes. |

1021 | FORETAY, Alfred, (Swiss, 1861-1944): ''Bab Boujloud'', Fez, Morocco, Oil/Canvas, 13'' x 18'', signed lower right, framed 19.5'' x 24'', Christie's label affixed verso from prior sale. Foretay began his artistic career sculpting, figurines, busts and animals in bronze and pewter. In 1920 he began to paint more and continued in this medium. Bab Boujloud (Boujloud) is a famous gate in Morocco that leads to the old medina. CONDITION: Frame shows minor wear, sold as is. |

Pascal was known for his Arab landscapes and his works have been routinely sold at major auction houses including Christie's and Skinner's. CONDITION: Several minor visible abrasions and possible repair in lower left quadrant. Small repair to tear in right margin. Not examined out of frame, sold as is. |
