CONDITION: 1) 2 tiny scratches found on glass. 2) Approx. 1/2'' crack at shoulder and multiple cracks inside rim of jar.

1005 Click for larger picture IMPORTANT 1936 ALBERT EINSTEIN ALS SIGNED LETTER: Hand written letter by Albert Einstein, dated December 30, 1936 to a Mr. Billikoph regarding the discrimination against Jews in Austria. Written in German, the translation as follows. ''Dear Mr. Billikoph, After careful study I am sending the article back. The stand of the Austrian government regarding the Jewish question is very interesting and plausible, a certain must from discrimination to our protection against the people. There is certainly something to it. (Refer to American Universities). I was happy to hear the planned marriage is alive again. The notice of content was very short, and I found the same approximately four weeks ago in the Times. With friendly greetings to you and your children, Your A. Einstein.'' Letter also has the word ''File'' written at the top center in another hand. Framed with brass plaques, sight size of letter is 6 1/2'' x 4 1/2'', frame 33 1/4'' x 16 1/2''.
CONDITION: Visible fold line in letter.

1008 Click for larger picture LE FAGUAYS, Pierre (French, 1892-1962): Art Deco Ball Dancer, Patinated Bronze, 12'' h. overall, figure approx. 8.5'' x 11'' x 8'', affixed to a polished marble base with incised signature to top. As a sculptor, Le Faguays has created monuments, ceramics, figural lamps and lithe female forms, all inspired by Tanagra, Athens, a city in Greece which is known for its Terra Cotta.
CONDITION: Minor wear to patina and several small specks to the base, sold as is.

Baccarat mark with Exhibition information on base. If you were to order this vase new from Baccarat it would cost you $14,845. Measures 14 1/2'' h. x 10 1/4'' dia.
CONDITION: There are a few chips to the side in one small area, an additional flea bite on one corner at top.

As a third generation painter, the Kossak name was well sought after in the early 1900's. He specialized in realism, most specifically of military scenes.
CONDITION: Frame has loss, several abrasions on painting, board is slightly warped, needs cleaning, sold as is.

1047A Click for larger picture APPROX. 20-35 YR OLD INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL ROOM SIZE RUG, 8'4'' x 10'11'': Traditional design and colors are the hallmark of this rug. The center medallion goes from a pale blue inner field to a white ground and finally to a dark blue color. There are also dark blue spandrels going out from either end of the medallion onto the red field. The four corners of the field are like portions of the center medallion. The rest of the field is covered with colorful flowers, leaves and palmettes. The main border has a dark blue ground.
CONDITION: The rug is slightly reduced in length.
