This Qum is incredibly finely woven in an intricate classic prayer rug format. The white ground of the Mihrab or niche has a vase of flowers at the middle base of it with vines that have sprays of flowers and leaves that fill in around the central bouquet. Atop the bouquet is a fan like flower holding leaves and vines that create the look of a crown. Above that are vines, some forming a ''cloud band'' design. St the top and sides of the niche the field is pale green, filled with flowers and vines. There are pale green guard borders and a deep red main border that picks up on the red flowers in the field. Each end has an extra border design woven in silk and gold thread in a raised pattern on a flat background.
