CONDITION: 1) Socco Grande, Tangier 1910: Visible handling creases, several corners are bent, overall even toning. 2) Florentine Palaces: Visible handing creases, bent corners, small tear, overall mild discoloration. 3) The Long Venice: Several spots of foxing, minor handlining creases, several corners are bent. 4) ''My Mother'': Several bent corners, overall even toning, sold mild sporadic staining.

1318 Click for larger picture INDO-PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 3'10'' X 5'11'': This large rug has a delicate Sarouk pattern of well-placed sprays of flowers over and around the open central motif on the pinkish-red field. Yellow and blue borders frame the field.
CONDITION: The selvedge on one side needs repair and there are some stains, but the overall look is good.

Superior custom frame and matting. The engraving is after the Raphael painting entitled ''The Ecstasy of St. Cecilia'' depicts Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians and Church music, listening to a choir of angels in the company of St. Paul, St. John the Evangelist, St. Augustine and Mary Magdalene. Commissioned for a church in Bologna, the painting now hangs there in the Pinacoteca Nazionale, or National Painting Gallery. Provenance: Estate of Dr. Peter J. Fischinger, M.D., Ph.D., former Associate Director, National Cancer Institute. 225
1328 Click for larger picture CACCIANIGI, Francesco, (Italian 1700-1781): Copper plate engraving after the painting by Charles LeBrun entitled ''The Rape of Lucretia'' (Ratto De Verginia). This engraving has been embossed with the ''Caleografila Camerale'' stamp and was part of the original collection of prints started by Pope Clement in the 18th C. An example of this engraving resides at the Thorvaldsen Museum in Copenhagen. Sight size 17 5/8'' x 19 1/4'', framed, 32 1/2'' x 34''. Provenance: Estate of Dr. Peter J. Fischinger, M.D., Ph.D., former Associate Director, National Cancer Institute.
