Made by The American Cabinet Co. It belonged to Dr. Clinton W. Strang who practiced dentistry on Main Street in Bridgeport from 1893 until 1915 when he moved to Cannon Street and probably had this cabinet made for his new office. The original work order, dated March 1915, is attached to the underside of one of the drawers. Approx. 48.25'' h x 36.5'' w x 16.5'' d.

He was a nature, tennis, and art lover and learned oil painting from his mother and was completely self-taught. He viewed the world through his own lens and was fiercely anti commercialism. He did not want to compromise his artistry by showcasing or selling his art an never sold a single painting during his lifetime. Ralph passed away of health complications in June of 1999 and to this day his family has kept his art completely private.

CONDITION: All pieces and parts appear to be intact. Horses show the most noticeable paint loss. Wagon and musicians show less paint loss. Overall condition good/very good.
