49 | PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY PAINTED LIMOGES CHARGERS SIGNED G.WEISS: 20'' Diameter, encased in period pierce carved gilded gesso frames, the better of the two depicts a couple fishing a country stream; it is paint decorated with sgraffito, with a strong script signature, and impressed Montereau, B & Cie 50. The charger with a deer is unmarked, with an ''added'' crude signature, and has had problems with paint flake; evidence of repair/restoration. Matching period frames are in good condition, but have restorations, 32'' x 26 3/4''. | 3250 |
