LACQUER ORIENTAL PHOTO ALBUM WITH IMAGES BY KUSAKABE KIMBEI: Over 50 hand colored images of Japan and Japanese people contained in an intricate Black lacquer album that is inlaid with mother of pearl, carved wood, ivory, bone, and various stones, with the front cover depicting children playing with a top, set in a landscape, the back cover decorated with butterflies, both sides accented with gold leaf paint. Some dents and scratches, but good overall. Album cover measures 11 3/4'' x 15 1/2'', overall approx. 16'', depth of album is 2-2 1/4''. Call for condition on the photographs. | 3750 |
