Snake designs. She began producing in 1956 after learning the craft from her husband. She uses both her husband's and her own designs. HALLMARK: Stamped hallmark of her husband's or her given name with Zuni underneath in 1/16 Gothic print. The mark EFFIE C. is used as a family mark by Effie and three daughters. She shared her spouse's mark until his death ca. 1970. Spouse was Juan Calavaza. Daughters are Georgiana Yatsattie, Gloria Jean Garcia, and Susie Calavaza.
