GREASON, Pearl, (American, 20th C.): Lakeside Landscape, Oil/Canvas, 26 1/4'' x 21'', carved, gilded gesso impressionist frame, 30 1/2'' x 25 1/2''. This work is from the same estate as the William Greason piece. Pearl was the wife of William Greason. Together they opened the Greason School of Art in Douglas, Michigan in 1937. She continued the school after his death in 1945. She painted mainly landscapes and flowers. Pearl Greason was art chairman for both the Detroit and the Michigan Federation of Women's Clubs and known in the state as a lecturer on art appreciation.
