Painted metal face with floral decoration, dial plate marked Osbornes Manufactory Birmingham. Movement unmarked. Walnut case with reeded quarter columns with brass accents and string inlay on door and base, on bracket feet. Crank in office. 92'' h. x 20 1/2'' x 10''.
CONDITION: Note cracklure and wear to paint on face, area of wear on door, clock currently running, however not guaranteed to continue.

61A Click for larger picture MODERN INDO PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED MERCERIZED COTTON RUG, 6' 5'' X 9' 5'': Another very finely woven Persian design rug that has an ivory field whose central medallion is in an almost cruciform shape. The field itself has a more open feel because the flowers, leaves, and vines are not as densely placed next to each other. The main field also has a stepped inner border that creates more visual interest in the rug. The colors used in the rug are rust-red, peach, pale yellow, beige, and shades of blue. This medium size jewel of a rug could be used with many different decorating styles and in many different areas. Condition is very good. 1300

63 Click for larger picture MODERN PERSIAN NAIN OR QUM HAND KNOTTED WOOL AND SILK RUG, 3' 4'' x 5' 2'': This very finely woven rug has a traditional design with a round central medallion in colors of red and blues on an ivory field. The field is covered with an intricate design of flowers, vines, and leaves using the same red, blues, light and dark, with a pale green and beige. The corners of the field are pale blue and the main border has a deeper blue background also covered with flowers, leaves, and vines. The edge of the rug has the same red found in the medallion and frames the rug beautifully. Condition is very good. 700

Figural dolphin and sea life base supporting bowl with transfer decorated bowl, the exterior with frieze of putti, the interior centering putti Bacchus and Pan and a vivid band of grapes on the vine at the interior rim. Please note wear to the sea life base, an old 5'' hairline on the bowl and discoloration. Measures 16'' dia., 8''h. Seen in British Pottery by Geoffrey A. Godden, page 268. 325
