215 Click for larger picture THIEME, Anthony, (American, 1888-1954): ''Gloucester Harbor'', Oil/Canvas, 20'' x 24'', signed lower right, titled verso with original price, Thieme copyright reserve stamp to the canvas, original carved and gilded frame with as expected wear, 23 1/2'' x 27 1/2''. This is a ''fresh to the market'' painting which may require some cleaning, it does have very heavy impasto. Purchased in 1999 from Gertrude Lank, a retiree in Florida, formerly of Rockport, Mass. She purchased the painting from the artist directly for ''over $200'' many years ago.
CONDITION: Very minor stretcher bar wear in upper margin and minor craquelure, several very minor flecks of paint loss in lower right corner.

CONDITION: 1)Good overall, not examined out of the frame. 2) Small tear in lower right corner, several very faint spots of foxing.
