Giavis was a member of the Society of Illustrators. His two page parade scene for Goodyear advertising which appeared in a 1960 issue of the Saturday Evening Post received international acclaim and was recognized 37 years later when Dr. Chris Mullen of the international University of Brighton School of Arts and Communication, compiled a list of the top 12 American realist illustrators. Most prominent on the list includes Norman Rockwell, Robert Riggs, Steve Dohanos, & Lymon Anderson. | 600 |
