FAURE, Renee, (American, 20th Century): ''Theresa'', Watercolor, Sight size 5'' x 6 3/4'', signed lower right, titled verso, metal frame 12 1/4'' x 14 1/4''. Third generation artist Renee Faure is the daughter of nationally known painter Nan Greacen Faure and granddaughter of prominent American Impressionist Edmund W. Greacen. She is a member of the American Watercolor Society and a recently elected associate of the National Academy. She has exhibited and received awards on the national level with the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and the National Society of Illustrators, among others. Her work has been published in the National Society of Illustrators Annuals, Volumes 18, 19, 20, 28 and 29; the Communication Arts 1980 Annual; North Light magazine; American Artist magazine, feature article june 1982; and the book Splash II, 1992. Ms. Faure's paintings are included in numerous private and corporate collections around the country. Her current subject matter is predominately the French countryside, and she has mounted three successful solo exhibitions on this theme over the past seven years. Five of these paintings hae been reproduced in poster form by Bruce McGaw Graphics in New York and three others by Portal Publications in California. | 100 |
