1012 Click for larger picture ROBB, Samuel Anderson, (American, 1851-1928): Attribution, polychrome paint decorated cigar store Indian. Tradition has it this Indian was purchased many years ago from a store less than 4 blocks from Robb's New York Studio, unfortunately the name of the store has been lost. This carving exhibits many traits similar to Robb's style, base is a replacement. Indian measures 58 1/2'' h. x 14'' x 16'', base 13 3/4'' h. x 22 1/4'' x 17 1/2''.
CONDITION: Flaking and loss of paint, several age splits. Weighs approx. 90 lbs for shipping purposes.

CONDITION: Shade in need of total stabilization and restoration, 2 replacement panels. Base is believed not original and has uneven finish needing restoration as well. Project lamp and sold as-is. This lamp is not for the faint of heart.
