1152 Click for larger picture RAMLOSE 4X5 LARGE FORMAT CAMERA BELONGING TO PATRICK EMORY: This is a Ramlose Model A press camera (possibly a rebranded Busch Pressman) manufactured around 1940s-1950s belonging to renowned CNN Anchor Patrick Emory, picture of Emory included. This camera is equipped with a C.P. Goerz Dogmar 165mm f/6.3 lens paired with a Compur shutter. Emory would begin his career as a young newsman at KMOV Channel 4 News in St. Louis, becoming an icon in the local market before beginning a ten-year career as a News Anchor for CNN. He would eventually return to St. Louis, before finishing his career in 2003 at a local Tampa station.
CONDITION: Camera will need extensive service to be restored to functional condition. Shutter function has not been tested. Lens needs cleaning/service. Excellent display and conversation piece.

1153 Click for larger picture LINHOF MASTER TECHNIKA 4X5 CAMERA: Linhof Master Technika large format camera manufactured in the mid-1980s. Serial #6421568. Comes with left hand grip, rangefinder, a Linhof duplex 4x5 film holder, and a Linhof Super Rollex 4x5 film holder. Also includes cabled shutter release, and metal carrying case.
CONDITION: Chrome has pitting in a few small areas - overall condition is good. Top leather panel needs restoration or re-adhesion. At least one small pinhole in the bellows that requires repair. Creases in bellows are not crisp. Fresnel glass could use cleaning.

1154 Click for larger picture CARL ZEISS PLANAR 135mm F/3.5 LARGE FORMAT LENS: Serial #5194275. Mounted to a 4x5 Linhof Technika board and paired with a Compur 1 shutter. Comes in box, with rear and front lens cap included.
CONDITION: Lens optics are in good condition. Physical condition is excellent. Shutter could most likely use lubrication, as it is slow to close when set to speeds around 1 second.

CONDITION: Bellows are in good shape. Some aged rubber band residue will need to be removed. Excellent condition.

Realistically drawn flowers, palmettes, and leaves cover the rest of the field. Pale blue and pink corners complete the field. Each of the borders have designs that spill into the next and then into the field in a ''broken border'' effect that adds to the beauty if the rug. Condition is good. 600

1163 Click for larger picture MONTESINOS, Victoria, (Mexican, 1944-): Seated Beauty in Black with Red and Lavender Hat, Oil/Canvas, 60'' x 48'', signed lower right, framed, 65'' x 53''. Montesinos was born in Mexico as the only daughter of well-known movie director, Fernando A. Rivero. She loved to draw from early childhood and by twelve she had the opportunity to paint with Jose Bardasano, for five years. In the 1980s, Victoria moved to New York to work with a gallery to study developing high quality lithographic works and Victoria's talent then became recognized in the US. She returned to Mexico in the late 1980's and developed a new style through her oil paintings and serigraphs on textiles. When Montesinos returned to New York, painting flowers became her focus and she described them as an incredible way for nature to show the infinity of existing colors.
CONDITION: Several scattered abrasions, frame has wear, sold as is.

1171 Click for larger picture SEMI-ANTIQUE TURKISH KAYSERI HAND KNOTTED SILK RUG, 4'2'' x 5'7'': This rug has a beautiful classical overall design like those given as gifts by royalty in olden days. The pale golden yellow ground central medallion has spandrels at either end and a center diamond shaped small white medallion with a dark blue line design. The central pale pinkish red field is outlined by a blue and yellow panel that has a profusion of flowers of various sizes just like those on the main field. The corners and borders of the rug are a pale golden yellow. The main border has an almost nouveau design with curving vines linking pale red ''faces'' palmettes and blue flowers. There is an extremely long fringe at one end and the other has been cropped. This rug has been hung through part of its life, pocket still in place on back.
CONDITION: Some visible wear but still an attractive rug.

1180 Click for larger picture MEURER, Charles, (German, 1865-1955): Painting of a Seated Woman Wearing a Hat, Oil/Canvas, 20'' x12'', estate stamp verso, temporary frame, 22.5'' x 15''. Meurer was born in Germany of American parents, and is noted for his trompe l'oeil painting style. He continued to paint after both of his legs were amputated. As a youth and beginning artist, he was commissioned by the editor of a newspaper to paint a still life incorporating the front page of the paper with a figure surrounded by books and other objects of editorial wisdom. Meurer used this theme in many subsequent paintings which was later described as editorial-sanctum still life, something that emphasizes with appropriate objects authority (books), industry (pen and inkwell) and respectability (money). He studied art with Frank Duveneck in Cincinnati and then went to Paris and Lyon for further study in France. He was converted to trompe l'oeil painting when he saw the work of Michael Harnett.
CONDITION: Abrasion in lower margin, several scattered flecks of paint loss, sold as is.

Heavy frame, walnut stock. Serial number 50769, third model, 28'' octagonal barrel, marked with typical Winchester markings and dealers name W. Kindler, Saginaw. Overall 48 3/4'' long.
CONDITION: Action sticks and need encouragement to return to firing position after cocking, missing one screw on trigger guard, missing dust cover, chip to stock, looseness, spots of surface pitting. BURCHARD GALLERIES DOES NOT ENDORSE THE FIRING OF ANY ANTIQUE FIREARM.

Hollingsworth was a comic book illustrator and painter who worked on Catman as well as Crime Comics and he created his own comic strip that was nationally syndicated. He was also a poet, author, lecturer and painter. His paintings deal with themes such as the Civil Rights Movement, women's struggles, spiritual concepts, jazz, city life, time and space and dance. He graduated from the High School of Music and Art in New York City and then graduated Phi Beta Kappa from City College of New York with a fine arts degree. 700

1194 Click for larger picture MACK, Bill, (American, 1949-): ''Love'', Bonded Bronze, sight size 27.5'' x 20.5'', signed lower left and numbered 14/95 lower right, fine custom frame, 37'' x 31'', approx. 4.75'' d. Bill Mack is in a league of his own as he has created his own form of sculpture. With a humble start as a commissioned artist, he did work for companies such as GM, 3M and Pillsbury, as well as medal works for Maryland and Minnesota. In the 1980's, Mack finally had his debut in New York City and found a quick ride to worldwide fame. 1500
1195 Click for larger picture SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN SHIRAZ HAND KNOTTED WOOL RUG, 5'2'' x 8': A rug with a vibrant tribal geometric design and equally vibrant colors, this Persian Shiraz rug is an appealing example for collectors of this type of rug. A red central medallion with spandrels at either end almost completely fills the blue field while the blue field looks like it has been cut out of the red outer field. The splashes of white, yellow, and green in the forms of stylized flowers and leaves further liven the rug's look. The small white serrated leaves in the guard borders and the variegated selvedge on the sides add to the tribal vine of the rug. Condition is good. 300
