RIZZI, James (American, 1950-2011): ''The Sun The Moon My Heart'', 3D lithograph, pencil signed lower right, numbered 33/350 and dated 2002, black metal frame, 10.75'' x 9.5''. Rizzi studied Fine Arts at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He came up with the idea of 3D prints when, having taken classes in painting, printmaking and sculpturing, he had to hand in work for all three subjects, but only had time to complete one. Rizzi created an etching, printed it twice, hand colored it, and mounted parts of the one print on top of the other. This technique is now associated mostly with his name. | 375 |
