SEMI-ANTIQUE PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED WOOL PICTORIAL/VASE CARPET, 9'8'' x 11'11'': This most interesting and attractive rug has many symbols of Persia in essence depicting representations of important and historical places and events. Small descriptive inscriptions are found all over including in vases and on columns. One could sit and study this carpet for hours on end becoming mesmerized by its intricacy. This rug would be a real conversation piece for anyone but especially for a family of Persian origin. CONDITION: Wear is slight and in good condition for its age. One furniture stain in one corner (top right of image). |
