63A JAPY FRERES LION TOPPED MARBLE CLOCK AND URN GARNITURE: Large and imposing pink marble, mercury pendulum clock surmounted by a gilt lion. Four fluted columns surround a trapezoid shaped hinged double door enclosure. Gilt dial with a filagree cartouche and painted Arabic numerals, #7, 8, and 9 are rubbed, otherwise the dial is very good. Hammer and coil strike alarm. Movement is signed Japy Freres and D'Honneur, numbered 2553277. Beautifully carved marble with just a corner chip on the lower right. 21"h. x 7 3/4". 91A 19TH C WHITE MARBLE AND GILT METAL GARNITURE: Consists of two garnitures and a large footed clock that features a garland bearing, pensive maiden. Garnitures stand 12 1/2"h. Breaks on one garniture top. Bell strike movement clock has a very clean enamel dial with Louis VXI hands and blue color Roman numerals, (chip at the "12" edge). Glass crystal and hinged swing out bezel. Fanciful gilt appointments of putti and ornate designs. Compelling clock appears to be European in origin. Clock's movement appears to be whole. Glass crystal covers movement. Approx. 12 1/2"h, 13"l, 6 1/2" deep. Total of approx. 31 pounds. 375
