Swirled body and lids, the pot lids are hinged. Each piece, including the tray, is stamped ''Handarbeit 925 Sterling Silver'' and hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown. No monograms. Two part secretary with upper part having triple doors, the mid section divided vertically, the outer sections with divided cubicles. Lower section of desk has a flip top, felt covered writing surface. Three full length drawers. Corner stiles continue into tapered legs. Replaced hardware. The curved tambour top became his standard and it has become a classic style that has endured for more than 145 years. This beautiful example features the ''S'' Roll tambour top, paneled sides, courtesy panel for the ladies, beautiful fitted interior with pencil trays and mail slots to the sides.
