The bronze portions of this clock are in superb condition for their age. The marble base at the back is missing a small portion of marble and at fist glance is overlooked or forgiven when viewing this magnificent work of art. As per typed provenance- especially made for The Hill House at the request of Captain Mallory Todd, ca. 1782, ancestor of Mary Todd Lincoln. During the civil war it was transported for safety eventually to Albany Ga. 2000
