White (and sold: American Art Association, NYC, March 2-3, 1927, lot 187), Owen Burns, Sarasota, Florida, thence by descent. Illustrated in ''Felix Ziem, 1821-1911'' by Burdin-Hellebranth, p.207. Owen Burns was an important local figure and prominent land developer. He was the builder of Ca d'Zan, the Ringling's Sarasota mansion, now part of the Ringling Museum of Art.
CONDITION: Small crack in board right midmargin 2'', several minor spots of inpaint, light skimming in sky.
