CONDITION: Voice box does not work, arms frozen in place, one sock damaged, very small crack inside left knee, the glue you see on top front of body has matching spot on back, well loved and played with condition.

O'Shea and Ernest Scanlon to Vanguard Films, Inc. dated 1945. Rebecca was released in 1940 and was Alfred Hitchcock's US directorial debut film starring Sir Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine. A note from the consignor states ''The baseball was given to my Grandfather, Maurice Bloch, who I believe was owner of the Selma Cloverleafs baseball team, (in Selma Alabama) of the Southeastern League in the 1940's. The team played at Bloch Park (formerly Roswell Field) in Selma. The Baseball is signed by Ben Chapman, one of the managers of the Philadelphia Phillies in 1947, and by Freddy Schmidt, who played with the Phillies on the 1947 team. Schmidt was a player on the St. Louis Cardinals Team which went to the World Series in 1944. Schmidt left the Phillies and was traded to Chicago Cubs later in 1947.'' 125
